We received free tickets for this event via a contest hosted by PetPlan
Goodwoof was an event that I had heard about from a few other dog owners at a Talking Dogs Rally event and I had put it on my list of ones to visit at some point so when a competition came up to win tickets, I had to give it a go and was pleased to find out that we had won.
The event was held in the grounds of the Goodwood Estate and parking was free although it’s about 20 minutes walk from the car park to the entrance to the show. Thankfully a courtesy shuttle bus is provided with further additional access options for wheelchair users. Once on the event site, we found the stands were well laid out and not too crammed in which allows you to enjoy a stroll around as you browsed. We liked the fact that pretty much everything was included in the ticket price so any money you needed was for refreshments and shopping. Severus particularly enjoyed his massage lesson with Galen Myotherapy and a sniff around the PetPlan Sensory Garden. I loved the fact that Tesco were giving away tote bags with your dog’s portrait on and there were complimentary mocktails whilst you waited. I also liked the fact that Kong had a chill out zone where you could get a free Kong and stuff it with treats for your dog. There were goodie bags available to purchase from them but there certainly was no pressure or ‘hard sell’ on their part. Severus and Rascal had a nice little chill out whilst R and I ate lunch. We opted for a Pizza for lunch and whilst the stand was busy, the staff handled everything efficiently.
There was so much to see that there was a lot that we just didn’t have the time to do so we will be planning to attend a future show.
